Introduced at CES 2009, the Lyra Slider SL5016 is a 16GB MP3 player from RCA. An easy to use portable media player, the SL5016 features a 2.2" TFT LCD display, MP3 and WMA support, an FM radio with 20 presets, and video playback. With software that is automatically activated when a user plugs the device in, adding songs and common format videos is simple. The device can last for 30 hours of audio playback and 5 hours of video playback before the internal battery requires a recharge.

- affordable price
- simple and easy to use for those uninterested in more complicated devices
- capacity that rivals the top players portable flash memory devices
Cons
- slider is cheesy - it is an MP3 player not a phone
- nothing special compared to much more advanced players from other manufacturers
