It sounds pretty good, but if you have a W6 or W& speaker it would be best to save a few more bucks and get the 1000/1v2. It's a lot more powerful. You can get one for $700 if you shop around but be careful who ya buy it from. Also, unless you listen to rock, make sure your W6 or W7 sub is in a ported box. for the W7 the JL HO box is unbelievable. But, bottum line is the HD is smaller, but doesnt have the solid power the Slash series has.
