"The description says the contrast ratio is 15,000 to 1 when it is actually 50,000 to 1, so thats wrong."

"I would stay away from philips since they no longer make their own products, they are made by akai I believe, but philips isn't philips anymore. I would strongly recommend the samsung, excellent TV."

"I would stay away from Philips since they are pulling out of the US market as a company and letting some little company use their name."

"No, my set was clean, no dead or stuck pixels, cloud and flashlight free. they are great TVs."
"I have left comments on a few different manufacturers TVs, which one are you looking at? My personal preference is the Samsung 650/750 models, best lcd out right now, if you can wait samsung is releasing led lcds in the next month and a half. Stay away from vizio or other off brands, you get what you more

"If you like a TV that has random sparkles that pop up while watching a TV show, this is the TV for you. What a joke, Sony says that this issue is normal, the problem is it isn't normal and shouldn't be accepted either. Everyone knows how they handled the smearing issue on the xbr4s right? more

Hi,
I'm thinking buying LCD TV.
Currently my doubts are between Samsung 40" 40A650 & Philips 42" 42PFL7403D.
Can you please advise me what is better TV?
Thanks in advance,
Moshe.

I am looking at buying a 46 in LCD TV in the near future. There is much ambient light and I am concerned about the reflection issues associated with Samsung LCD. I am interested in a 120 HZ machine.

I have somewhat narrowed it down to the sony KDL-46Z4100 or KDL-46W4100. I do not need the connectivity of the Z series. What I need is an understanding of what produces the best overall picture.

Finally, if I am mistaken in my views on the KDL, then I am open to another option. I have a space limited site that limits the total width of the machine to 44.0 inches wide.

Your opinions are appreciated.

I would appreciate it greatly if you could help me with a decision between Phillips 47PFL5603D/27 and 47PFL3603D/27. They are both 47" LCD TVs with the same specifications (1080p). However, on walmart.com (http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?search_constraint=0&search_query=lcd+47&Find.x=0&Find.y=0&Find=Find&ic=48_0), one model is about $300 more expensive than the other.
I would greatly appreciate your help.

Sorry, it's the Samsung LE40A656. Did you find any dead pixels there?

Hey, can you please tell me what you meant my sparkle, my speakers make a popping/crackling noise from time to time and I was wondering if it is defective. Thanks so much.
