The Ricoh CX1 is a compact digital camera designed to deliver photographs with deeper color and greater contrast than the average camera. It boasts a 9-megapixel CMOS sensor with a 7.1x wide-angle optical zoom lens, and a 3.0” transparent LCD monitor. In addition, the Ricoh CX1 renders JPEG images at up to 3456x2592 resolution, and AVI movies at 640x480 (@120fps) resolution. The Ricoh CX1 digital camera also sports a pixel output interpolation algorithm that minimizes whiteout in high-contrast situations, multi-pattern auto white balance for scenes that mix both flash & natural (or flourescent) light, and a multi-target AF that does high-speed consecutive shooting of up to seven images with different focal distances determined by the camera. Most noticeable on the CX1 is its abundance of features such as face recognition, blur reduction, backlight compensation, accurate camera leveling, and 10 scenic modes. The Ricoh CX1 retails for $379.00 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
