The Ricoh CX3 is a compact digital camera that has a few new features that it's old predecessor didn't have. An upgrade from the Ricoh CX2, the 10 megapixel camera has a CMOS Sensor and 10.7X optical zoom that's carried over from the previous model.

New to the CX3 is a Scene Auto Mode that provides the user with an educated guess at what is being shot and then sets the exposure mode accordingly. The high sensitivity and high resolution also display low-light scenes with a sense of clarity and help create detailed images. To keep up with competitive cameras on the market, the CX3 has a 3-inch LCD screen and 720p HD video recording that adds to the device's portability.
