RIM BlackBerry Curve 9330

$29.99 Released September, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Slim profile - not as bulky as other smart phones. Great touchpad - very responsive and easy to use. Value - offers many higher-end smart phone features at an entry level price.

The Cons:Not much different from its predecessor, the Curve 8530. Poor still photo quality - only useful in a pinch. Only 512MB of built-in memory.

The RIM BlackBerry Curve 9330 is a mobile smartphone released by Verizon Wireless as an upgrade from the Curve 8530, and as a twin to its GSM cousin from T-Mobile, the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300. It hosts the same design as the 8530 (responsive optical trackpad, convenient external media keys, QWERTY keyboard), but features the BlackBerry OS 5 with RIM (Jan 2011 upgrade to 6) with an enhanced GUI, a Webkit browser, and a universal search function.

Overall it’s an entry-level choice designed for quality phone calls, though there have been complaints regarding its still picture & video capture/transmission, not to mention audio quality and battery life. Plus the screen isn't touchscreen and the display is limited to QVGA. On the other hand, the Curve offers social networking integration and syncing with any email server out there.
