The Giant's Defy 2 is a state-of-the-art road bike designed for speed and comfort. The level of quality and comfort is evident as soon as the Defy 2 is ridden. The tapered steerer-tube fork for extra stiffness means the Defy 2 is very precise in how it sticks to the line, in other words, it is the opposite of wobbly, and means safety on roads with ice patches where other bikes would slip. Since Giant manufactures its own frames, it has come up with an excellent alloy which allows the Defy 2 to go over rough, unpaved ground without the bounce of other alloy bikes. In addition, the carbon-bladed and -crowned fork absorbs road shock unusually well with no twitching, fluttering or wobbliness. After long rides, there is no discomfort in the back and wrists area. The Giant TCX 1 is a cyclocross bike, designed to overcome obstacles, barriers, mud and grates with speed. Part of the TCX series, the TCX 1 comes with a butted aluminum frame with compact geometry which exhibits a smooth ride, as opposed to other alloy frames which are rather stiff. The CAAD8 S 8 is a low-priced bike that comes with solid enough specs, which although not competitive, are nevertheless suitable for one entering the sport. The frame is a sturdy double butted 6061 alloy. Butting the frame means the quality of the welded area is consistent around its circumference, thus ensuring a durable frame. Butting the frame also makes the CAAD8 S 8 more comfortable to ride. Comfort is also improved from the CAAD7 with a larger number of headset stacking spacers to determine handlebar height, and the setback seatpost allows a good amount of saddle adjustment. The Specialized Sirrus Expert is a flat-bar road bike that provides a compromise between the low weight of Specialized's high end road bikes with more comfortable geometry. The Trek Ion Super is a high-end road/commuter bicycle similar to the Trek Ion Pro. Sporting more mid-level components (Shimano Tiagra shifters, Promax brakes as opposed to the Ion Pro's Simano 105 shifters and Tektro brakes), the Ion Super is aimed at a somewhat less serious rider than the Ion Pro. However, the Ion Super still sports the same high-end designs as the Ion Pro, namely an aluminum/carbon frame, press fit BB bearings and Genesis Road Geometry.

The Ion Super's frame is composed of 6061 T6 aluminum for the main frame and carbon for the seatstays and chainstays, combining the stiffness of aluminum and superior strength of carbon for a more performance-oriented road bicycle. Its press fit BB bearings provide the Ion Super with greater rear-end stiffness and power transfer by allowing for bigger tube junctions and a wider bracing angle. Additionally, the Ion Super's Genesis Road Geometry ensures that each size of the Super sports an optimal fit by sizing key components to match each overall frame size rather than just sizing for the standard 56cm.

The Kona Grand Wagon is a colorful road bike released as the top model in the Wagon series. It’s just as funkadelically-styled and hipster/youth-oriented as the Paddy Wagon and Band Wagon, but it’s a lot more efficient and powerful. This is due to improved components like Dedacciai SAT bronze-welded Chromoly tubing, a Mavic Track Ellipse wheelset, and Sugino crankarms/chainrings. It too is built primarily from steel and also includes a compact rear triangle with short chain stays and seat stays that together offer enhanced balance between stability and power transfer when out of the saddle and hammering. The Cannondale Synapse 5 is a just over a thousand dollar bike that is designed to be comfortable to ride around town or even to the next county. It makes full use of the Synapse Active Vibration Elimination by using shaped chain stays and a slight bend in the seat stays to reduce the amount of road buzz the consumer has to experience. Once nice feature of the Cannondale Synapse 5 is that the consumer has a choice of frame materials: HI-MODulus, ultra carbon, or 6061-T6 aluminum as well as a choice of colors: Jet Black gloss or Lightning White gloss. The bike itself is made with shaped tubing that is manufactured and designed in Bedford, a site that has been in place for over twenty five years of producing the high-performance alloy CAAD9.

The Cannondale Six Carbon 5 is a no-nonsense competitive racing bicycle featuring a full carbon chain and seat stay triangle, all the way to the dropouts. The Tarmac Pro SL Dura Ace is a performance road bike from Specialized's Tarmac series that is designed to provide handling and high performance on the road. The frame durability is excellent, with reports of 15-year use with hardly any maintenance. The Sedona is good for both on-road and off-road. The geometry is not the best, and the brakes, especially the rear, may need replacing after some time. The Sedona, however, is designed for comfort, not speed. The Cannondale SuperSix HI-MOD Ultimate is Cannondale’s 1 SuperSix road bike. It builds on its predecessor’s key components, but takes a step forward by incorporating the most high-tech components available on the market. At its base is a SuperSix Hi-MOD Carbon BB30 frame (which is a universal spec on almost all the SuperSix models). Although carbon, Cannondale claims it is anything but ‘dead weight,’ as they’ve injected it with the same qualities inherent in alloy frames. The Giant TCX 0 is a complete cyclocross bike designed for muddy and harsh terrain. The Schwinn 2010 Le Tour is an entry-level fitness bicycle built for everyday, down-the-street riding. It is an updated version of the Schwinn 2009 Le Tour; but in fact hosts a slightly more affordable MSRP. It features an N’Litened Aluminum frame with a Bio Tuned Ergonomic geometry engineered for maximum comfort. Included also is a Shimano Sora and 2300 drivetrain with an FSA Tempo compact triple crankset designed to offer hassle-free and easy-to-operate shifting. Note also the Road Tuned 6000 series alloy ergonomic drop bar handlebar. All in all, the Schwinn 2010 Le Tour is made primarily for comfortable riding — and is definitely not equipped for serious cross-country escapades or speedy races.
