robotreefrog791 responded to the thread Geek Fashion

March 10, 2006 at 10:20 am

I strongly agree with a lot of what you wrote. The tapered and/or pleated look is definitely a no no. And the XXL on skinny guys, absolutely wrong. The positioning of the waistline is also a good one. It drives me mad when guys wear their pants so low (just below their butt cheeks) it makes them walk funny. Anything that makes you look awkward or uncomfortable is a NO!!
But here's where I'm not feeling 'ya: the sandals. Yes, I know what you're picturing. The computer geek in sky-blue tapered jeans with the teva-like sandal (even with socks sometimes!). Bad look. Agreed. However, I don't think sandals are completely wrong. We all love to have our feet breath in the hot summer months and I don't think men should be banned from this. They just need to take care of their toes and pick the right kind of sandal. I have no problem with men in a casual environment wearing some nice flip-flops. It's not high-fashion, but at the same time I wouldn't say it's a fasion no-no.

robotreefrog791 responded to the thread Low-rise pants

February 23, 2006 at 4:44 pm

I totally thought the fashion industry would have gotten these low-rise pants out of its system by now and it hasn't. Does anyone out there think the really low-rise pant is attractive? Maybe on the really, really skinny girls it's okay, but even then I don't find it the most flattering look. To be honest, I'm sick of seeing butt cracks on the metro, in the schools, just about everywhere I turn. Butt cracks and love handels are all that it emphasizes and really who wants that to be our focus? Well, this isn't much of a discussion, more like a rant. So, here's the discussion: do other girls/women like this look? Are people aware of stylish pants/jeans that don't allow your butt to fall out when you bend over? If so, please let me know. I'm sick of trying on jeans only to find that there's not enough room for the rest of my ass!

February 14, 2006 at 1:30 pm

What's the best deal on pay as you go cellphones (in Canada). They all seem pretty similar about $100 for the phone (with some rebate $50-75) and then 25cents/minute with about $10-$20 being added per month. Does anyone have a specific company they think has the best deal or is it in the end all the same no matter where you go?

robotreefrog791 responded to the thread Citizens of Humanity Fit

December 14, 2005 at 11:45 am

I have never liked the way Citizens of Humanity fit. They always seem to squeeze things in the wrong direction for me. However, I find they look great on other people. These other people tend to be petite so maybe that's the deal. I also hate the way Juicy jeans fit. Could just be the style I tried. I was actually just jean shopping and tried on Paper and Denim (which is being sold at the Bay!!) and totally disliked them. If I'm going to fork out a couple hundred dollars for jeans they better make me look good! Also, I have this horrible problem of finding jeans that fit me in length. I need at least 34 inch inseam. So far the only ones seem to be R&R. Any other tall girls out there with some nice looking, long jeans you can recommmend.
