"I have this wonderful hot water kettle from Japan that my mom bought me for my new apartment, and all you have to do is make sure the kettle is always filled with some water (its maximum capacity is 2 L), and it will always make sure you have hot water coming out whenever you want it. You can even set the temperature of the water so it's not terribly hot (that also reduces electricity)."

"2 hours washing time?!? And from what I've seen, most of these front-loading washers aren't big enough to do big loads. Like you can't wash comforters in these. That sucks, because if you send them out to the cleaners, they cost a lot."

I agree with you dialupinternetuser. I was listening to Mugglecast (a Harry Potter podcast), and they were talking about how they left out WAY too much Kreacher stuff because he becomes quite important in HP6 and 7! And there hasn't really been any quidditch in the movies for a while, which is rather disappointing (maybe the special effects are too expensive?). However, the locket & Regulus Black comes into the story in Half Blood Prince, although Sirius does mention his brother Regulus in book 5. The main thing that I've been disappointed with the movies is how they NEVER introduced Bill or Charlie Weasley! What are they going to do in movie 6 when Bill and Fleur are engaged? Argh.

"I think they do look ridiculous but I'm sure there are definitely benefits. My sister has to wear toed-socks because she has arthritis in the joints of her feet (and she also had to quit a lot of sports). So I think these toed-shoes would actually be really good for her. She's already trying to find comfy sneakers and she can never wear the slim Puma sneakers that everyone's wearing these days."

The movies are supposed to add to your enjoyment of the books! I actually like the way JK Rowling writes, and the way she storytells. It's not always about action scene after action scene. The description and narration is worth it! And the best part about these books is that they actually get kids to read 600 to 700 page books! If you think about it, it is pretty amazing that kids actually sit there and re-read these books time and time again. I think it's great! Kids are way too enamored with TV, the Internet, computer games, and video games. Correction: It is the Department of Mysteries, not the Chamber of Mysteries. Also, it would take them WAY too long to show how they got into the Ministry. In the book, it says that they get through the Telephone Booth and once you're in there, you get questioned by this "secretarial voice" (ie. what is your purpose inside the Ministry, who are you, etc.), they get these badges that they have to wear (ID tags), then the booth descends into the Ministry's Atrium. From the Atrium, they have to make their way to the elevators, and take the elevators all the way down to the Department of Mysteries.

"I think it's actually quite ingenious! Sometimes you just want fresh corn niblets and usually a lot of supermarkets don't sell fresh niblets. So you end up having to try to get them off the cob yourself! Mostly corn niblets are sold frozen, which is fine, but if you've ever had fresh corn niblets fried with a bit of butter and salt...I'm telling you, it's amazing."

I don't really know what jumbotron-IMAX 3D means...all I do know is that when you put on those glasses, everything seemed to pop out at you and it looked VERY real. :)
Wow...that's a pretty good deal! Anyway, I went to see Harry Potter on Saturday at the IMAX Theatre in Toronto (cost me like $14), but it was totally worth it! THE MOVIE WAS AMAZING! The fight scene was in 3D so we got these 3D glasses to wear, which made the experience all the more memorable. All I have to say is that the movies just keep getting better. Sigh. And the 7th book is coming out this Saturday! What an exciting month!!!!!

OF COURSE this movie's going to be good!!! In fact, it's going to be FANTASTIC!!!! I already bought advance tickets to the HP5 showing in the Imax Theatre in Toronto, so you can bet I'm excited. I'm a crazy fan so I'm actually going to get there 2 hours in advance, push the kiddies aside (just kidding), and stake my spot in line for the theatre. I thought about getting a Harry Potter costume and dressing up, but at my age, maybe that's going a bit too overboard. Haha. The only part that I think won't be good will be the part with Harry and Cho. Harry's supposed to be with Ginny, not Cho!!! Sigh. Oh well, at least he leaves her at the end of the fifth book anyway. Thank goodness!
