The 5 Series is Samsung's mid-range line of high definition LCD TVs with a native resolution of 1080p. The series includes displays that range from 32" to 52" in size with a 16:9 image aspect ratio for widescreen picture. It features a 6ms response time, high dynamic contrast ratio, and utilizes Wide Color Enhancer technology for vibrant color saturation. The 5 Series includes three submodels, the 530 models, mid-range 540 models, and the more advanced 550 models. The 530 models are characterized by a glossy black bezel and 3 HDMI inputs while the 550 models feature a red-tinted bezel, higher contrast ratio, and an additional HDMI input compared to the 530 models. The 540 models are in between the 530 and 550 sets since they include the red-tinted bezel but have the same number of inputs and same contrast ratio as the 530 models. All of the TVs in the 5 Series is designed with built-in 10-watt stereo speakers with SRS TruSurround to provide accompanying HD sound. The series also includes a detachable swiveling stand and is Energy Star qualified for higher efficiency.
