Samsung AMOLED SCH-W880

Released December, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:12MP autofocus camera with 3x optical zoom, image stabilization, xenon flash, and face detection. Records video in 720p high definition. 4GB of internal storage.

The Cons:Bound for Korea only. More of a camera than a phone. Not all that good of a phone.

The Samsung AMOLED SCH-W880 is a mobile phone released in late 2009 (Korea) and dubbed the first ever 12MP camera phone with a 3x optical zoom lens. It is in fact an upgrade from the Pixon 12 (June 2009), which also hosted a 12MP camera, but lacked the 3x optical and 2x digital zoom — which allows for a full 6x zoom.
