Samsung DVD-SH855M comes with a combination of DVD and HDD and can record on to virtually any DVD format such as DVD-R, DVD+R and RAM. The hard disk features a capacity of 250 GB, capable of holding 427 hours of TV in the lowest quality EP setting or 64 hours in highest quality XP mode. There is a digital tuner onboard if you are about to lose your analogue TV signal, featuring video upscaling of up to 720p and 1080i.

Details
Connections include HDMI output serving up to 1080i and 720p pictures. In addition it comes with progressive scan outputs and two SCARTS, one accepting high quality RGB signals from external digital TV box. You have the option of optical and coaxial digital audio outputs for connecting Dolby Digital and DTS soundtracks to your AV receiver in addition to a set of analogue sockets.
The DVD recorder is compatible to MP3, JPEG and DivX files from DVDs and CDs and the USB port helps connecting the USB flash memory devices. You can turn your deck into a multimedia hub by copying the files onto the hard disk. The 4-pin DV input allows transferring camcorder footage. It is a competitive recorder in terms of price and performance.
