The Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 is a portable touchscreen media player similar to the Galaxy S phone that can do everything the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system will support except for voice calling. It has full use of Google Mobile Services like G-mail, Google search, G-talk, location, voice search and video communications.

Applications may be downloaded from both Android Market or Samsung Apps and the operating system is upgradeable as well. Three capacities are offered with different price points for this model including 8GB, 16GB and 32GB, while the next model in the series, the Galaxy S WiFi 5.0 comes in either 16GB or 32GB capacity albeit with a larger 5" display and more powerful battery. Skype and Qik Plus VoIP are preloaded so you can use it as a video phone, as it has a VGA camera in front for this as well as a built-in 3.2 mega pixel camera on back. The video player can play back at HD 720p and MPEG4, H264, WMV and DivX/XviD formats are supported as well as WAV, FLAC, WMA9, Ogg, AAC MP1/2/2.5 and MP3 audio formats. Connectivity options include a Micro SD card slot, Micro USB port, Bluetooth 3.0 and of course 802.11 b/g/n WiFi.
