The HMX-U15 is the weaker of the two and limited to a 1X optical zoom, but it does include support for H.264 video formats, Hyper Digital Image Stabilization, and 14MP digital stills. Both units are based on a high-performing 1/2.3” CMOS sensor that can capture full HD video at 30fps. Included is a swing-out USB connection that can also recharge the camcorder’s battery; Samsung’s play-edit-sharing program (Intelli-Studio) for playing their videos on any computer; and a one-touch upload button that can automatically upload to YouTube or other web sites.
