Samsung HT-C6500
$510.99
Released May, 2010
The Pros:Offers a wide variety of online streaming services, both audio and video. Supports a wide variety of HD audio codecs, and can take full advantage of Blu-ray audio. Loads discs as quickly as some of the fastest stand-alone players on the market.
The Cons:Loading video or album art from the iPod is difficult to impossible. Remote control design is uncomfortable, commonly used buttons are placed at the extreme ends that are difficult to hit. Bass can seem like it lacks definition, needs to be physically muffled to sound right.
The Samsung HT-C6500 is one of three multi-channel home-theater systems announced at CES 2010 by Samsung. All three models feature a retro, no-grill speaker design; Samsung’s recently designed Crystal Amplifier Pro technology for more accurate audio; and DLNA compliance for sharing content over a network.
