The retro-looking Samsung i100 hit the market in spring 2008, delivering 10.2 megapixel resolution and an internal 3x optical zoom lens. Its features include face detection, a self-portrait mode, dual image stabilization, in-camera red-eye fix and the ability to choose photo styles to tweak the appearance of pictures. Video capture can be achieved at SVGA resolution, which is slightly higher than the VGA resolution offered by many digital compact cameras. When not in use as a camera, the i100 can also serve as a portable media player (MP3 and video), a text viewer, and even a tour guide in 30 countries.
