Samsung Infuse 4G
$549.00
Released January, 2011
The Pros:Screen is very high-resolution, everything is easy to read. Display is very large, nice to look at pictures on. Fast processor, rarely any lag in performance.
The Cons:Ships with Android 2.2, but 2.3 is already on the way - outdated at launch.
The Samsung Infuse 4G (i997) replaces the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate (and its variants) as Samsung's top of the line Android handset. Changes includes a larger 4.5'' Super AMOLED Plus display and a faster 1.2GHz Humming bird application processor.

The new display promises to improve upon the AMOLED displays used by the previous Glaxay S units in terms of contrast and viewability in direct sun light. The 1.2Ghz processor should provide an adequate increase in performance but considering it is identical in all aspects other than clock speed, do not expect a huge improvement. What's worth noting is that despite the "4G" branding, the Infuse is not equipped with any true 4G hardware; it is in fact limited to HSPA+ speed. As for other changes, the body of the phone has been slimmed down, and the build material has also improved. The Samsung Infuse 4G will be available in the US exclusively on AT&T.
