Samsung's L100, released in early 2008, is identical to the L110 except that it lacks optical image stabilization. Although it is relatively inexpensive, the L100 gives users a fair degree of control over their photographs, whether they use the 14 scene modes or full manual exposure controls. Options such as contrast, saturation and white balance can be modified, and color effects can be added to tweak a photo's appearance. The camera's face detection software includes a self-portrait mode, which notifies users when their face is in the frame.
