Samsung NB30

$406.00 Released April, 2010

The Pros:Hard drive is large enough for most people's needs, and can handle dropping the netbook without getting damaged. Keyboard is built durable and is easy to clean. Screen is really bright and colors look great, everything is vibrant.

The Cons:WiFi is a little unreliable, starts to malfunction if allowed to overheat. Tends to start to heat up after awhile, inadequate ventilation. Only enough power for basic programs and browsing, gets laggy if used for any games.

Similar to the N150, the Samsung NB30 is a netbook that's standard as far as specifications go but has a bundle of unique features that will attract different tastes. Powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, it has a 160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM and a 10.1-inch WSVGA display.

One unique aspect of the NB30 is its built around safety and security. It has a HDD Free Fall sensor that will shut down the hard drive if it detects the computer is falling, preventing data loss. The keyboard is also designed differently as it's spill-resistant and the keys are a bit more rounder than your average layout. But what will attract most is the Samsung NB30's durable rubber texture that's both scratch and fingerprint-resistant.
