The Cons:Bulky physical size, heavy weight (5+ pounds), poorer than average battery life limit it as a mobile computer. Touchpad physical button bar is recessed, requires more work than it should. No wrist rest space.
The R480 is a notebook PC from Samsung's R80 Series for 2010. The laptop features a 14" LED HD display with a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It utilizes an Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB of DDR3 memory, and a 500GB hard drive.

The laptop also includes a built-in Blu-Ray player and an integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics for watching movies. The R480 is designed with Samsung's Touch of Color gradation in the bezel and has integrated 3-watt stereo speakers with HD Audio technology. It also includes a built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam, microphone, and offers WiFi and Gigabit ethernet connectivity. The laptop is expected to be released in March 2010 and has a suggested retail price of $829.
