#samsung_r780 R780 has different finish from R480 and R580. Those two have beautiful gradient from dark on the edges to bright red in the middle which looks stunning, but not very practical as fingerprint magnet. However, the R780 has very dark crimson colour (kind of like clotted blood) which doesn't stand out (probably, that correlates with the fact that R780 only sold on-line (in US Best-Buy, at least), but smaller models are present in-store), but you can't really see the smudges.

#samsung_r780 I's all confusing but seem to point that this model doesn't have blu-Ray drive in it. Press release (see link in product details) imply that all three models in R80 series have Blu-Ray, and even Samsung live chat rep confirmed it, but the specifications on Samsung's and BestBuy's site say that this model only has Super-Multi DVD. That explains why BestBuy dropped price on it to $800 while 15" model still sells for $830 MSRP.

#samsung_r780 I emailed Samsung about that same issue. They responded by informing that this model will be sold exclusively at BestBuy.com. It sold better then anticipated thus creating backorder. They assured me that new shipments would be in next week. However I was disappointed it will be sold exclusively.
