The Samsung S7550 Blue Earth is an eco-friendly, touch sensitive mobile phone released by Samsung in fall 2009. This environmentally friendly phone is powered by sunlight with the built-in solar panels and is made from PCM plastic extracted from used water bottles. The Eco Mode reduces energy consumption by adjusting brightness, bluetooth settings and backlight control. The battery can be charged with 10-14 hours of sunlight for 4 hours of talk time, and can also be charged with a conventional plug in charger. Other features include speaker phone, music player, GPS, FM radio, microSD slot and a built in pedometor which counts footsteps and informs users on their carbon foot print measure while walking and driving. The Samsung S7550 Blue Earth can be controlled using its touch sensitive screen and Samsung's exclusive TouchWiz UI.
