Samsung SE-T084M

The Samsung SE-T084M (SE-T084M/RSWD) is a slim external DVD writer released by Samsung in July 2009. It features TruDirect real time recording which allows users to burn digital content to DVD though a PC without the need for data to be stored on the hard drive from devices such as HDD Camcorders and is capable of burning 8x DVD and 24x CD. It supports LightScribe which lets you burn labels directly on the discs without needing a seperate drive. This is a slot-style drive which supports both 12 cm and 8cm discs and features manual eject to remove discs without power supply. It uses a single USB connector for both data transmission and power supply making it easy to setup and to use anywhere and it weighs less that one pound making it easy to carry along side your laptop.
