The Samsung SN-S083 is a slim, internal 8X DVD / 24x CD writer specially made for use in PCs. Once connected via a SATA interface, it can handle single-layered CDs and DVDs, as well as dual-layered DVDs. The SpeedPlus Power Speed technology utilizes an optimized algorithm to ensure the fastest writing/reading speed with low noise and vibration. Double OPC (optimum power control) gives zero-error recording while S.A.T. (speed adjustment technology) automatically optimizes the drive speed for the disc being used. a Firmware Live Update program in your PC automatically upgrades the unit’s firmware via Internet. The Samsung SN-S083 is available as the SN-S083A/BEBN and as the slightly improved SN-S083B/BEBN, which adds Buffer-Under-Run Free Technology. The Samsung SN-S083 is an RoHS compliant eco-friendly product and does not use materials such as Pb, Cd, Cr+6, Hg, PBBs and PBDE which are harmful to humans and the environment.
