Samsung Solstice II (SGH-A817)

$299.99 Released November, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Large touch screen is very responsive, performs better than previous Samsung touchscreens. Battery life outlasts other Samsung and competitor models, up to three days of moderate or heavier use. More affordable internet/data phone option than many competitors with touchscreen design.

The Cons:Antenna can be prone to dropping calls, variable call quality. Phone lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, fairly standard on phones of this style/media player phones. MicroSD cards can only be changed by removing rear plate, inconvenient.

The Samsung Solstice II (SGH-A817) is a mid-cost cell phone for the AT&T network. Samsung promotes this phone as having a complete multimedia package, and features such a 2 megapixel camera/camcorder, Mobile Web/Video, and MobiTV help to justify that statement.
