I'd buy it if they offered eSATA (need it for sound recording), but all current Samsung external drives are USB 2.0 and they do not specify HDD RPM. They do offer Story Station Plus with eSATA. Problem is that at least on US website on the external hard drives overview page all products classified as USB 2.0, but when you click on individual products, you may find out otherwise.

Anonymous: Manually converting it to eSATA is not very difficult. Essentially drill a hole into the back casing, pull a SATA cable through - there you go.
eSATA is nothing else than well SATA with some special connectors for external. So you can simply plug the SATA cable to the harddrive.

Admittedly a bit rough and one does wonder why Samsung does not simply add the port but oh well.
