Samsung SyncMaster BX2450

$420.00 Released June, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Attractive monitor. 36W maximum consumption. Great picture quality.

The Cons:No holes VESA (wall) mount (would be ideal for that). Hard to see, locate and manipulate with adjustment buttons. For newer ATI graphics requires adjustment of the "scaling options", otherwise does not use whole screen for full 1920x1080 resolution.

The Samsung SyncMaster BX2450 is a 24” LED backlit, 1080p monitor that inherits features from the smaller 23” BX2235 and BX2250 models. It’s in fact an exact duplicate of the BX2250, in that it too hosts a full 1080p resolution with a 2ms response time.

Plus it incorporates its peer’s 5M:1 contrast ratio. More importantly, the BX2450 inherits Samsung’s Touch of Color (ToC) technology and an environmentally-friendly LED backlit screen made out of completely recycleable materials. Like its peer, the Samsung BX2450 hosts D-Sub (VGA) and HDMI connectivity, as well as Magic-Eco, Magic-Angle, and Magic-Bright technologies. Plus it adds along a Magic Eco Return function that allows a user running dual monitors to switch one off and have the content automatically switch over to the remaining display.
