Samsung SyncMaster E1920NR

$175.00 Released May, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Good contrast and brightness. Simple menu settings and automatic adjustment. Good resolution compared to similarly priced monitors.

The Cons:Viewing angles are only so so. No digital (DVI, HDMI) input. The stand can be unstable.

The Samsung SyncMaster E1920NR is an entry-level 19" LCD monitor. Beyond offering slightly more screen area, it is identical to the 17" E1720NR. It is the largest 4:3 model in Samsung's "Essential" line, and is designed primarily for office use, featuring MagicEco technology, which makes it easy to reduce business power consumption by reducing screen brightness.

The monitor complies with TCO Display 5.0 standards, but not Energy Star. The wall-mountable E1920NR features standard specs for a unit in its class, including a 5ms response time and 1000:1 contrast ratio. The monitor's MagicReturn feature aims to simplify working with a dual-monitor configuration. The monitor's adjustability is limited to a tilt function, but MagicAngle technology aims to optimize picture quality at different angles.
