Samsung UN22C4000

$430.00 Released February, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Fits well in a small bedroom or office, minimal footprint. Fast enough response for console gaming, no lag. No noticeable motion blur watching sports or playing games.

The Cons:Touchscreen buttons on the front are really hard to see in the dark. Volume can be a bit soft at times, depending on the programming and size of the room.

The Samsung UN22C4000 is one of four budget-friendly LED HDTVs (UN19C, UN22C, UN26C, UN32C) from the 4000 Series released in early 2010. The UN22C4000 builds from the UN19C with a larger 22” screen, although it too hosts an ultra-slim (1.2” deep) frame.

Much like its predecessor, the HDTV unit is flexible with its connectivity options (including HDMI and Ethernet), but it lacks the DLNA streaming option of the 5000 and 6400 Series models. It does, however, deliver a 1366x768 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is actually faster than its 5000 Series counterparts.

Additional Information

All 4000 Series models are Energy Star Compliant with a 30% reduction in power usage versus their 2009 predecessors; feature a Touch of Color design that "brings beauty and warmth to every room"; and support Anynet+ one-touch control for all HDMI devices via the included universal remote control.
