Product Shot 1 The Pros:Easy to use menu navigation system. Straight forward base assembly and wall mount system. Very thin at only 1.2-inches.

The Samsung UN40C5000 is one of three LED HDTVs (UN32C5000, UN40C5000, UN46C5000) from the 5000 Series released in February 2010. It builds from the UN32C by incorporating a larger 40” frame that is still only 1.2” deep.

Like its Series 5000 peer, the UN40C5000 lacks the contrast and refresh rates of the 6400 Series, but it does provide full 1080p HD resolution and support for DLNA and Anynet+ (control of all HDMI devices via one remote). More importantly, the HDTV unit features a plethora of inputs, allowing it to play content from DVD players, BD players, USB flash drives, and even the Internet.

Additional Information

All 5000 Series models utilize a Touch of Color design that "brings beauty and warmth to every room"; an Eco Sensor that automatically calibrates the image brightness based on room conditions; and four HDMI ports.
