Details

SanDisk has been trying to get a piece of the iPod pie since the introduction of their Sansa series, although the response has been lukewarm at best. By teaming up with Yahoo, the two companies have found a way to compete against Microsoft's Zune and ostensibly, Apple's iPod. This player is very sensitive to the adoption of Wi-Fi networks so the market is currently pretty small, although this is set to grown in the next year.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. I LOVE INTERNET RADIO! It's just a matter of them not being put out of business because of new copyright legiscrapilation.

Awesome idea.

If you are concerned about Internet Radio, check out this petition at SaveInternetRadio that makes it easy to email your representatitives in Washington. As for the Sansa, this product looks very interesting and gets a very good review on Cnet. A definite must watch item!

The "con" about it not having video playback is incorrect. They released a firmware update long ago to correct this, and you can download the video converter from SanDisk's website.
