The Canon CanoScan 9000F is a high resolution color scanner. It can scan documents at resolutions at up to 9600 x 9600 resolution, and does so using a 48-bit color depth allowing for over 281 trillion possible colors. The software included can use interpolation to increase the resolution up to 19,200 x 19,200 resolution, and it can also automatically fix blurry shots and other common photo errors. Canon CanoScan LiDE 80

Introduced in 2003, the CanoScan LiDE 80 was an early LED based flatbed scanner. It was targetted at high end consumer and business users, though these features are now considered mid range. It has 4 buttons: copy, scan, file, email.

Current compatibility

There are widespread complaints that this scanner is not supported in Windows 7. However, with Windows 7 Windows XP Mode the scanner works with the oringinal software and drivers.

Description

It was powered completely through USB. It did not require a warm-up period, which improvement the time to scan a page over most scanners. It had a smart metal lid that looks better than most of the subsequent models, which have switched to plastic.

It is the predecessor to the CanoScan LiDE 210 and siilar models.

It included a light for scanning film.

It could scan an A4 sized page in black and white in about 14 seconds (up to 600dpi), and a color page in 20 seconds (up to 300 dpi). Higher resolutions are supported, but the page speed is much worse.

The Canon imageFORMULA DR-2510M is a compact scanner for small office environments. This is the Macintosh compatible version of the Canon imageFORMULA DR-2510C, and a faster version of the Canon imageFORMULA DR-2010M. It can scan up to 25 pages per minute in simplex and 50 images per minute in duplex, which is a slight speed increase from the DR-2010M model. Apart from this they are very similar, able to handle documents as small as 2 x 2.1 inches and as large as 8.5 x 14 inches. Batches of documents of various sizes can be scanned together, automatically fed through the slanted paper path. A Long Document Mode also enables scanning up to 39.4 inches in length. This is similar to the Canon imageFORMULA DR-2010C in design and function, but has been built to scan at a faster 25 pages per minute in simplex and 50 images per minute in duplex. Otherwise they are the same, with a slant paper path that allows for batches of documents with varying sizes to be fed in together. A detection system stops the process if more than one document is fed in at the same time, and the unit is designed to recover from these events rapidly. The scanner automatically detects color, size and blank pages, making adjustments on the fly to create the most efficient file output possible. Long document mode can also be used to scan documents up to 39.2 inches long.

The Canon imageFORMULA P-150M is a compact scanner built to be compatible with Macintosh computers. This is the same hardware as the original Canon imageFORMULA P-150, and features mainly variations in the software drivers that come with it. The Canon imageFORMULA DR-2010C is a compact desktop scanner designed to handle multiple pages at a time quickly. Scanning is done at up to 600 dpi, making the resolution much lower than most photo scanners. The Canon CanoScan LiDE200 is a mid-grade color photo scanner designed specifically to provide the average consumer ease of use while photo scanning. The Canon imageFORMULA DR-2580C is a compact scanner built for small workspaces. It features two inputs, one at the front and one at the back, which allows for versatile office setups. Panasonic KV-S1025C

The Panasonic KV-S1025C is a 26 ppm / 52 ipm duplex color workgroup scanner. At the time that it was produced it was one of the more quiet and compact workgroup scanners on the market though now, when compared to more modern scanners, it can no longer claim those descriptions. The scanner uses a double-feed prevention roller system to keep each page separate, avoid scanner jams, and ruined scans. The Panasonic KV-S1025C is more expensive than its sister product, the Panasonic KV-S1020C, but does not offer a significant difference in scanning quality or features. Some of the features they share are the advance imaging, the on-board image enhancement technology, the automatic application launcher and the auto erasure security.

Panasonic KV-S1020C

The Panasonic KV-S1020C is a 25ppm simplex color workgroup scanner. It can handle a large variety of document sizes and textures, including ID cards and thin, onion-skin paper. It uses RTIV image capturing software, and at the time of its production was a quiet and small scanner - though compared with more modern scanners it is no such thing. The Panasonic KV-S1020C has an automatic sorting function that helps it distinguish between color and monochrome items removing the need for the consumer to presort large scanning jobs. The scanner has some built in security, automatically erasing pages from its memory after they've been scanned so that it cannot be hacked into and valuable documents stolen.
