The faster interface options are ideal for large files, such as HD movies. This drive includes Seagate’s “Dashboard” applications, a software suite designed for automatic backup and file encryption. This hard drive is compatible with both PC and Mac computers, however those using OS X must reformat the drive to HFS+ for use with the included backup software or Apple’s Time Machine program. The GoFlex Desk can be setup horizontally or vertically, designed to save space on users’ desks. The Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk is available in 1TB and 2TB capacities. Black is the only color choice.
