The Seagate Momentus 7200.4 is a hard drive for laptops. It shares many features with the Seagate Momentus 7200 series, such as low power consumption and G-Force protection against dropping the laptops and so on and QuitStep technology that enables very quiet operation. However in addition it also has cache and on the fly error-correction algorithm. It also has a fluid dynamic bearing motor for quiet operation. With a 7200 RPM can shut the system down 34 percent faster and opening big files can be 30 seconds faster than a 5400 RPM drive can manage. This piece compares quite well with the 5400 series offered by Seagate(Seagate Momentus 5400.6). It's more quiet than Seagate Momentus 7200 FDE in the same series.
