Sharp AQUOS D65U Series

The AQUOS D65U Series from Sharp is their Fall 2008 refresh to the D64U series and features mostly the same specifications as its predecessor with the addition of Energy-Star compliance. Using the new Power Saving mode the television automatically adjusts the set's contrast and brightness settings to reduce power consumption. All other features such as the 1080p native resolution, contrast ratio, etc remain the same. It is unknown as to the 5:5 pull-down capabilities of the D65U sets as some of the D64Us were able to perform proper 24 frames per second converting. The step up to the D65s are the D85s which increase the panel's refresh rate to 120Hz, and uses a 10-bit panel instead of the 8-bit in the D65.
