The Sharp AQUOS E Series is Sharp's line of Full 1080p LCD HDTVs for 2009. The E Series includes the E67U models which are a step up from the D65U series from 2008 and the more advanced 120Hz E77U models which are a step up from the D85U series. All models in the AQUOS E Series feature a 10-bit processing engine and a 10-bit Advanced Super View Superlucent Panel for bright, crisp picture and reduced reflectivity. They differ from the 2008 models since they have a redesigned swivel stand and black cabinet with a color accent on the bottom of the frame, copper for the E67U models and champagne-gold for the E77U models. The AQUOS E Series includes Sharp's Optical Picture Control technology which automatically adjusts the picture to the lighting and brightness of the room, making all of the models Energy Star compliant. The E77U models actually exceed the Energy Star requirements by 15% since they also include Brightness Preservation picture processing and a Spectral Contrast Engine for increased efficiency. The Series also includes a number of HDMI and Component inputs, all of which are 1080p compatible to work with Blu-Ray and advanced gaming devices.
