The Sharp BD-HP16U is a blu-ray player with a slim/compact design and a piano-black finish. Designed to complement Sharp’s Aquos TVs, the BD-HP16U features an Aquos Pure Mode that automatically constructs a perfect image when the blu-ray unit is paired specifically with a Sharp Aquos television set. In addition, the Sharp BD-HP16U offers Full HD 1080p output, HDMI 1.3 digital output with x.v. color, and 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution at 24 frames per second. The Sharp BD-HP16U also supports Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio. Plus, the Sharp BD-HP16U sports a proprietary Quick Start feature for quick disc loading/unloading, not to mention a Power On Mode and Standby Mode that help lower power-consumption and ultimately saves the user money in electric bills. The Sharp BD-HP16U retails for $279.99 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
