Sharp FX
$159.00
Released July, 2010
The Pros:Slide out QWERTY keyboard. Designed with text messaging and social networking in mind - ideal for a teenager or young adult uninterested in paying a premium for a smartphone. Touchscreen display.
The Cons:Running a non-smartphone proprietary operating system. Unattractive aesthetic - lots of bezel and glossy plastics. Not affordable enough to be attractive next to only slightly more expensive entry-level smartphones.
The Sharp FX is a mobile slider released through AT&T as a sort of upgrade / competitor to the defunct Sidekick. It hosts a similar design with a touchscreen display with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 2MP camera, an integrated MP3 player, and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity.
