The Sharp XV-Z15000 is a full HD DLP projector with a sleek, high-gloss black design based on a single chip 1080p DLP 0.65-inch DMD chip from Texas Instruments. Cited as an affordable home projector, the XV-Z15000 combines a 30,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio with a 1600 ANSI lumens high brightness to recreate top-quality imagery. In addition, the XV-Z15000 offers a true wide-screen 16:9 aspect ratio with a whopping 1920 x 1080 resolution, not to mention a 24 Hz film mode that delivers an accurate representation of the movie’s originally intended frame rate, thereby recreating a more realistic experience. The XV-Z15000 also comes equipped with a 6-segment/6-speed color wheel that produces flicker-free/high-grade images, a powered iris switchover function for easy/simple user adjustments to brightness/contrast with just the hit of a button, Keystone Correction that corrects spherical/cylindrical/trapezoidal distortion, and an auto V-Keystone Correction button to “automatically activate in response to the installation angle of the projector.” Plus, the XV-Z15000 boasts an RS-232C input and two HDMI 1.3 terminals with x.v. color. The Sharp XV-Z15000 retails for $2999.99 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
