""Mediocre video quality" is relative. I use Netflix player under Windows Vista. On one title, "Rivers and Tides", the quality was excellent, vibrant colors and details. Another movie, "Sinbad in the Seven Seas" or something, it was unwatchable -- smeared and blurry. The player scales your video quality based on network performance. But, it's tricky to say whether you should just try again later, or whether the original source video is too bad to be usable. With the Windows Netflix player, I'd say the quality is variable but often quite good."

"Just installed MythTV (actually Mythbuntu) last night on a spare laptop. It's quite incredible how easy it was to navigate around and do stuff. To insert a DVD and be prompted "Rip this? It'll take 20 minutes" was awesome. But, I'd stay it's firmly in the "geek" camp at the moment. The "import MP3 collection" feature was pretty bad."
