Pros
- Good sound quality for the price.
- Discrete amplifier design plays loud and clear.
- Has tone direct function for pure sound reproduction.
- Good build quality for an entry level product. (Known one to have been dropped and still works perfectly)
- Above average FM tuner.
Cons
- No direct station tuning available.
- No binding post speaker terminals (the RX-4109 which replaced it does though).
- No tape monitor loop or Preout/Main-in for use of an EQ.
