Shure SRH550DJ
$149.00
Released March, 2011
The Pros:Allows you to get real-world sound AND audio from the source, excellent for DJing. Handle a good amount of abuse without showing signs of wear. Good build quality, don't creak or suffer from movement noise.
The Cons:Not a very lively attack, sound is just a little flat. Could use more cushioning along the top, tends to press down on top of the head uncomfortably.

The fifty millimeter dynamic drivers of the SRH550DJ headphones offer an enhanced bass performance. For the purposes of full sound isolation, these headphones have a supra-aural design, which means that they have pads that sit on top of the ears, rather than around them. The SRH550DJ headphones are equipped with a ninety degree swiveling headband, which allows you to choose from a variety of listening positions. This set of headphones differs from the higher cost SRH940 headphones in that the SRH940 has a premium padded headband (a feature geared toward comfort), two detachable cables (straight and coiled), a replacement set of velour ear pads, and a more precise frequency response (which boosts both bass and treble without distortion). The Shure SRH550DJ headphones come with a carrying bag.
