Yes, I do, but I don't have a kit right now. My drumming fix comes from Rock Band. I would say I'm intermediate skill level: good enough to play in a crappy band although I've never done more than jam with friends. I'm self-taught, but I think Rock Band would've accelerated the learning curve extremely. The key is not to learn any bad habits early, and make sure to focus on technique. Think paradiddle, one-ee-and-ah-two-ee-and-ah, and double flam..

The problem with using Rock Band, is that it doesn't have the right tactile feedback and you can't work on your tone or "tightness" of your rhythm. All you have to do is hit the pad at around the right time with any amount of power. On the other hand, it's equivalent to playing to a metronome or a clicktrack. Your tempo won't wander.

I originally started playing drums as part of band in 5th grade. I didn't really learn any drumset until 7th. I took lessons from somebody, and he told me to buy some books with exercises in them Chances are you could find the same information online. Check out www.drummerworld.com. I think they may have links. Or Google "basic drumset exercises." Once you get the hang of it, try learning the drum part to songs you like. My teacher had me learn the part for "Smell's Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana. It's a little tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it it's not bad. Also if you don't know how to already, learn how to read rhythms and know what quarter, eighth, and sixteenth notes are. I think some drumming book by Carment Apice explains everything, but I can't remember it's title. It's what I started in. Good luck!

Hrmm... I think that FFVII-Advent Children should be related to FFVII the game (which I know isn't currently on the site) since they're both based on the same universe with Cloud, Sephiroth etc. But as far as I know, FF10 and FF7 don't share story or character elements. I haven't played FF10 though, so maybe it does?

I've never heard of it before, but I checked it out and it looks good for your level. The most important things when choosing a tool like this are the documentation, the community, and what you can do with it. It has full documentation, and a very strong community with an active forum, so that's really important. I also checked out some of the sample games to see what's possible, and they have some pretty good stuff there so it's definitely powerful for doing simple things. Remember you're not making the next Final Fantasy... yet :)

I'm not familiar with the code at all, but I can imagine it's not too bad. Simple scripting language for handling the state and physics, etc. As long as the documentation is there you should be able to figure things out. I don't know if you've learned about Object Oriented programming yet, but you should at least have a basic undersatnding of that first before going further.

Oh man, the error was so simple, so that's why it was easy to miss. I had the link as Starcraft: Brood Wars. Notice the "S". The report is actually Starcraft Brood War!

I figured out why the link is wrong. It's set as "starcraft--brood-wars", notice that there are 2 "-" when there should be one. It's a bug in the software because "Starcraft:Brood Wars" has the colon in it. I won't get into too much technical details, but the way to fix it is to put the title as "Starcraft brood wars" and it'll work. Until we fix the bug, you can just use a normal space instead of a colon when linking by product report title.

Just featured your review, very good! I have to admit I've never played a Pokemon game if you can believe it. And I can understand being busy, trust me on that. If you need any help with the basics of understanding how HTML works and wrapping your head around it, don't hesitate to ask. As for the names thing it's difficult. Since product pages are collaborative we wanted the credit to be more fair, so giving the original person extra credit by bolding their name, but also giving everybody that helped out on the page credit as well. I think it's something that the whole community should decide on.

hi silence, I've started working on coming up with a way to teach you how to customize the look of your user page. What I need you to do, to make your life easier is to download firefox and install it. Once you've done that go here and then click on "install now" this is an extension that will help out in changing the look of your page.
At the same time you should start familiarizing yourself with HTML and CSS. The best resource I know of is w3schools. Learn about HTML here. And CSS here.
If this is too much to do then I'm going to need some more time to setup a template that you can just come in and start playing around with yourself. Let me know, thanks.

Done, no prob. It's actually pretty easy to do yourself, for future reference. Click on "edit this page", then "change image' and then put in the name of the image that you want to be default in the third textbox (the one that says "set the thumbnail using a PW image"). You can find the name from the product's image gallery. ex: http://www.productwiki.com/steal-this-album/gallery/

No, users CAN add images to the gallery. Click on "Upload an Image" on a product page. The image gets added to the gallery for that product. The choice for what is the "default" image is a little weird, and admins have more functionality than regular users do for now.

When you add games I always check them, and if any features are missing I fill them in, so I don't think there are any that you've added that need to be filled in. Though I could've missed a few here or there, it'd be difficult to find them though! So I don't think you need to go back and look through them. Though this does give me an idea of being able to find products that haven't been "filled in" so to speak.

Have you tried StumbleVideo on the Wii? (video.stumbleupon.com) It's a great service by StumbleUpon and it's optimized for the Wii browser. I use it all the time on my laptop, and I'm thinking a Wii if only for this reason alone. (It also looks really fun!)

The description is difficult though for you and me, because often I've never heard of the game and don't know anything about it! hahahah well, that's why we're a wiki. Eventually we'll get people on board that know stuff about those licensed obscure games and can fill those out nicely. In the meantime I think what we're doing is just fine.

I didn't get Wii. =( One of WalMart's employee's gave me incorrect information. They said that the Wii would be going on sale tonight, but it was in fact going "on sale" saturday night. They gave out vouchers on saturday so you could pick up the Wii on Sunday. They only had 20 Wii's. They had people lining up outside thinking that they could actually get there hands on the system, only to be told told by WalMart employee's that the sale was last night.

Even though you didn't get a pre-order, Nintendo is producing so many of the systems that you shouldn't have a problem finding one in a store like Walmart or Target. Maybe not on launch day, but before the end of the year. Just keep on calling them :)

Honestly, I have no idea what the deal is with the Knucklebear. I think it's just a toy that sits there and does nothing. When I first saw it, I thought it was 6 FEET tall, which would make the thing way more appealing. But 6 inches? meh. Anyway, ObjectFetish might have a better idea what the deal is.

I absolutely LOVE Futurama. I regret not paying attention to it when it first aired, but now I catch the reruns as often as I can. The show has a lot of heart to it, while still being hilarious. And those honey squeezers are pretty cool eh? I just found them randomly on the Internet one day.
