SimpleTech Signature Mini

The SimpleTech Signature Mini is an external USB 2.0 hard drive that comes in an elegant design with an assortment of colors and capacities to choose from. The drive can fit in a coat pocket as it is extremely compact at roughly 3 x 5 x 1 inches with a weight of less than 6 ounces. A USB 2.0 'Y' cable is included which has two connectors for the PC end just in case one isn't providing enough power. In some situations even two USB connections isn't enough so there is an AC outlet on the back; AC adapter is sold separately. A backup utility called Fabrik Local Backup is included and can be configured to automatically backup any file type from any location on the computer. An added feature with SimpleTech drives is an online backup option called Fabrik Ultimate Backup, which gives you a free online account that can automatically backup up to 2GB of data. The program runs in the background and can be configured to backup various files from various locations or folders. An unlimited data backup option is also available as well at a cost of roughly five dollars a month. These drives are preformatted with the NTFS file system for Windows XP and Vista which makes them plug & play. Mac users however will need to reformat the drive before using.
