Skullcandy Riot
$29.00
Released January, 2010
The Pros:No background noise leaks through, makes a good seal on your ear. Fit snugly enough that you can run with them. Stylish design has a little bit of flash, doesn't look boring.
The Cons:Tend to suffer some damage to the cord after about a year of use.
Skullcandy's Riot headphones are an entry-level model of in-ear monitors. They have 11mm drivers with neodymium magnets and emphasize bass frequencies. They come with three different sizes of silicon earcups that make a snug fit and help isolate sound.
The cable is 1.3m long and features a tangle-resistant slider. The Riot has a low price point and is intended for use with portable media players. Compact form factor and thin cabling make it ideal for portability. It also comes in a very wide variety of colour schemes, from plain black to vibrant three-colour designs. Its 3.5mm jack is gold-plated to improve connection quality.
