The SMC SMCWEB-N is a wireless broadband router, allowing users to share a broadband internet connection across their home or small business network. The SMC SMCWEB-N features Wireless-N technology, but is still compatible with Wireless-G and –B technologies. It also allows four wired 10/100 Megabit connections. The SMCWEB-N boasts built-in firewall protection, using a NAT firewall with SPI. The SMCWEB-N uses WPA and WPA2 security encryption which can be configured with SMC’s WPS push button configuration, MIMO streams, and allows VPN pass-through as an option. Released August 2007, the SMC SMCWEB-N retails at $90.
