The T90 Chrome is largely made from ABS plastics with thick foam padding on the panels, this results in a lighter than usual ball with a higher bounce. Although it shares the same graphic design as the high end T90 Ascente, it inherits none of the high performance features and hence the low price tag. In fact it is identical to last year's ball but with a different design.

The Nike T90 Catalyst can be considered as a mid range soccer ball in terms of price and performance. It shares the same asymmetrical graphic design as the T90 Ascente but is missing many premium features and hence the much lower cost. One feature that the T90 Catalyst does retain from the T90 Ascente is the high manufacturing precision leading to a perfectly spherical ball with high consistency when kicked from all angles (formerly known as Nike GEO technology). The Nike T90 Ascente Hi-Vis is the official match ball of several top European soccer leagues including leagues from England, Spain, and Italy. As the name suggests it is a high visibility version of the ball, the only change from the standard T90 Ascente is the color scheme. This alternate color scheme is designed to be used under low light conditions. Aside from the color, it carries all features from the Ascente such as the 360 sweet spot, the ball is precisely manufactured so that the kicking force is evenly spread across all panels on the ball. With its textured surface, the air will flow around the ball much more smoothly, a similar idea and effect of that from the dimple of a golf ball.
