The Solia ST134 flat iron has a 1-3/4" plate width to distinguish it from the Solia ST114 flat iron. The Dynamic Alignment system the manufacturer advertises is comprised of ion ceramic plates that self-adjust to create a better contact between hair and the plates, eliminating damaging 'hot spots' that can occur. This system makes sure that the heat is distributed evenly, resulting in smoother hair in less time. The 1-3/4" plate size is the more popular size, wide enough for short and medium hair, adaquate for long hair, but still narrow enough to be able to work on bangs. The Solia ST134 flat iron has a temperature range that can be set from 140 degrees fahrenheit all the way up to 450 degrees fahrenheit. The iron can be used to curl, flip, spiral, bend and straighten hair.
