The Sony Alpha DSLR-A100 is a digital single lens reflex (D-SLR), and Sony's first entry in to this space by leveraging the technology coming from their acquisition of Konica-Minolta's SLR technologies in March 2006. It has a 10.2 megapixel image sensor, 2.5" LCD screen is equipped with a shake reduction technology, and an anti-dust system. Sony opted to use the more standard CompactFlash storage device over it's proprietary Memory Stick. The Alpha 100 is priced around $1000 when bought with the included 18-70 mm lens, and comes in at the high end of the entry level market.
