Product Shot 1 The Pros:Excellent picture quality once calibrated. Nice menu system and graphic overlays. 4 HDMI inputs - includes 2 on the side.

The Cons:Reflective bezels. Does not perform well in a bright room- disappointing for an LCD. Makes an annoying noise when you turn it on.

Anonymous: #sony_bravia_kdl_55ex500 I'm not happy with the picture quality. Sometimes it doesn't appear to be HD quality. How do you calibrate the TV. Maybe I did something wrong. Thanks Dec 12, 11

Erik: #sony_bravia_kdl_55ex500 You can easily turn off both the startup sound, and the Motionflow in the settings menu, so I wouldn't say they are valid cons.

The bezel is bigger than the new sleek TVs, however this picture quality is pretty good especially if you use the calibrated settings you can find on the net.

I have this TV and I haven't been disappointed yet, in spite of friends and family getting new models. Nov 3, 11
